About Erik
Before going rogue as a solo creative in 2011, I spent 15 years honing my craft in the agency world producing work for brands of every size and stripe from all walks of industry.
As a conceptual copywriter and campaign creator, I’m continually fascinated with storytelling, emotional connection, and the dizzying evolution of advertising in the social age — and how to keep the art of human creativity alive in the face of Al anonymity.
I believe that, while how people consume branded content will continue to revolutionize in ways we can't yet fathom, great work will always come down to a simple truth that stands the test of time: A big idea that captures hearts and minds to kindle business success through the power of public affection.
I hold a B.A. in English and Political Science from St. Olaf College (Um Ya Ya). California-born, Minnesota-raised, I’ve called the Mile High City home since 2006.
When not working, you'll find me running, hiking, motorcycling, and exploring Colorado mountain towns in search of the next great adventure and craft IPA.
