About Erik

Before going rogue as a solo creative in 2011, I spent 15 years honing my craft in the agency world producing work for brands of every size and stripe from all walks of industry.

As a concept-driven campaign creator and copywriter, I’m continually obsessed with storycraft, emotional connection, and the dizzying evolution of advertising in the digital age — and how to keep the art of human creativity alive in the face of Al anonymity.

I believe that, while how people consume branded content will continue to evolve in ways we can't yet fathom, great work will always come down to a simple, enduring principle: A big idea that wins hearts and minds to move business forward through the power of public affection.

I hold a B.A. in English and Political Science from St. Olaf College (Um Ya Ya). California-born, Minnesota-raised, I’ve called the Mile High City home since 2006.

When not working, you'll find me hiking, motorcycling, and exploring far-flung Colorado mountain hamlets in search of the next outdoor adventure and buzzy new IPA.
